The Town of Elkton is taking the necessary steps to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and do all that we can to ensure the safety of all citizens. The health and safety of our residents, staff, and visitors is our top priority. In alignment with expert public health guidance related to the spread of COVID-19, we are implementing the following steps to minimize health and safety risks to our community. At this time, there are no known positive cases of COVID-19 within Elkton.
Town services will remain operational. However, beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, we are taking the following proactive steps to protect the health of the entire community:
Town Hall will be closed for walk-ins by the public. All contact with Town Hall should take place through phone at 410-398-0970 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, or by email. To contact a specific department, please visit our website at www.elkton.org.
Water/Sewer or other Payments: Water/Sewer or other payments may be dropped off at Town Hall in the secure drop box located in the front lobby on the left wall. Residents may also pay by credit card online at https://payments.tprosecure.com/md/elkton/paymentcenter/paymenta.asp NOTE: the Town of Elkton's vendor collects a processing fee of $6.95 for each $250.00 of credit card payments.

Permits: The Town will continue to receive and process building permit applications. Please call (410) 398-4999 for further instructions. Code enforcement staff will continue to monitor the Town but will not conduct any interior inspections. Any possible life safety or public health situations that require interior inspections will be addressed by the Building Inspector with the proper precautions taken.
Police Department: The Police Department will be operating under normal business hours until further notice.
Public Works Department: Services from our Public Works Department will not be interrupted. Water meter upgrades and interior leak checks will be delayed until further notice. Trash and recycling pickups will remain on schedule.
Public Meetings: The Town has canceled all non-essential public meetings until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation. Meetings of the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Parks and Recreation and Historic District Commission or any other Town Board/Commission will be held only if necessary.
Town Events: In an effort to take precautions and protect health and safety of citizens, events may either be postponed, canceled or rescheduled. Please check our website and Facebook page for the latest information.
The Town of Elkton continues to evaluate its operational capacity and will announce any further operational changes as needed. The town will be posting future updates at www.elkton.org/ and on our Facebook page.

Our activities schedule is printed twice a year (February and August) and is available in the Parks and Recreation Office. These activities, which are available for both children and adults, include sports leagues, lessons, clinics, art and music classes, dance lessons, camps, and special events. Most of the activities are held right at the Elkton Municipal Building.

We are pleased to offer park amenities that include pavilions, playgrounds, tennis courts, multipurpose fields, outdoor basketball courts, and walking trails.
