TOWN OF ELKTON NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION-MAY 14, 2024

The Town of Elkton Board of Supervisors of Elections will hold the 2024 Elkton Municipal Election on Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 7:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M., at the Elkton Municipal Building, 100 Railroad Avenue, Elkton, Maryland. Two (2) of four Commissioners shall be elected, each to a four (4) year term of office which will expire in June, 2028.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: DEADLINE TO FILE

A candidate for the office of Mayor or Commissioner must be an Elkton resident who has lived in the town of Elkton for a period of not less than one (1) year preceding the election date and be a citizen of the United States of America. A candidate must be at least 18 years of age and a registered voter in Cecil County. A qualified citizen who wishes to file his or her candidacy for office must do so by not later than 4:00 P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2024.
