"If I Were Mayor, I Would..." Essay Contest
Fourth grade students are encouraged to write and essay discussing volunteerism - How would you get citizens to volunteer? What job would you give them to accomplish and why? How would you thank them for volunteering their time?
The contest deadline is April 9, 2010. Check out www.mdmunicipal.org for additional information. Eleven winners will be chosen throughout the state to participate in the awards ceremony where they will receive $100. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the contest, one grand prize winner will be chosen from among the 11 district winners who will also be awarded with a trip to Ocean City to read the essay during MML's convention. |
