Commissioner Mary Jo Jablonski

Thanks for visiting the Town of Elkton website. It has been a pleasure the past several years serving as your Town Commissioner. Being a part of a board that is working diligently to help move the town forward has been very rewarding.

With the implementation of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), we are preparing for transportation, and housing so we can welcome newcomers to our town. The plans for improving our infrastructure are continuing so that we are able to accommodate the ongoing change and growth in our community.

Legislation is working with our local governments to help open the Elkton Train Station. The opening of the train station will greatly ease the congestion on our streets and enhance the campus that is growing at Cecil Community College Elkton Station and Union Hospital.

With our town growing, we also need to concentrate on making our streets a safer place for our children. There are many changes are taking place at the Elkton Police Department that will help with the countless issues that have come before the board. Please visit the Elkton Police Department’s website at www.elktonpolicedepartment.org to see what they are able to do for you.

All of our departments have wonderful websites that can keep you informed and up to date on all of the events & changes happening in our town. Please visit them regularly to keep you up to date.

I have been involved with the Town of Elkton for many years, both as a volunteer and as an employee of the Elkton Alliance, Inc. I have seen many changes since moving here in 1982, and I look forward to talking to you and actively listening to your questions, concerns, and comments about our town. Please feel free to send an e-mail with any issues you may have. Your input is a vital part of our decision making.

The passion I have for this town is present in all my efforts; I look forward to working for you, the people of Elkton.

Sincerely,

Mary Jo Jablonski,

Commissioner, Town of Elkton
